Former NBA star Gilbert Arenas didn’t hold back in his criticism of Pat Riley’s handling of the situation. On the latest episode of his “Gil’s Arena” show, Arenas lashed out at the Heat president, questioning Riley’s treatment of Butler.
“You can’t pretend you’re bigger than LeBron! LeBron leaves; this ship crashes! Jimmy comes gets you to the chip, if he tells you to bring me one more star, mf, bring him one more star,” Arenas said.

Jimmy Butler’s Lawyer Breaks Silence on Butler’s Suspension
Jimmy Butler’s recent suspension by the Miami Heat has raised questions, and now his lawyer, Alex Spiro, is providing insight into the situation. During an appearance on ESPN’s Brian Windhorst & The Hoop Collective podcast, Spiro explained that the Heat are likely using Butler’s words against him.

“They’re gonna use his words against him. He said something to the effect of, ‘I can’t play hard here. I don’t love it here. I can’t play hard when I don’t love it here,’ some words to that effect, and they’re just gonna point to it with him saying that and saying it was attitude,” Spiro said.
Meanwhile, the trade rumors surrounding Butler have intensified. Marc Stein recently reported that the Phoenix Suns have a strong interest in acquiring the star forward. Whether Butler stays with the Heat or finds a new home remains uncertain.
