From the riches of NBA glory to the rags of prison—well, that can be a perfect phrase to describe Glen Davis’s journey so far. Known as the ‘Big Baby,’ the 2008 NBA champion has landed himself in a big mess. Trying to illegally obtain money from the NBA via healthcare benefits, Davis has been sentenced to 40 months imprisonment. After the investigation into NBA healthcare fraud went off, a sorry state of affairs unfolded.
Davis seemingly tried to drain between $65,000 and $420,000 from the NBA healthcare team. Surprisingly, after his imprisonment was announced, Big Baby did something totally unexpected for the fans. In a recently uploaded Instagram story, Davis could be seen recording himself en route to prison. This was an out-of-the-blue occurence that completely took the fans by surprise.
According to CNN updates, ex-NBA athlete Terrence Williams led the fraud, which involved 18 other NBA players. In 2022, Williams was proven guilty and handed a 10-year prison sentence. Unfortunately, the former Boston Celtics icon was also one of the 18 guilty athletes.
During the trials, Glen Davis had one of the most emotional moments. As the judge announced his verdict, Davis broke down in tears and asked the jury to help him become a better man once again. “When I lost basketball, I lost myself. I ask you, your honor, to help me get back to who I am,” Big Baby stated. However, his recent antics made the fans go wild on the internet.
Fans Hit Back At Glen Davis For Recording Recent Outing
Glen Davis’ recent Instagram post was shared on X by NBA Central. No sooner did the post gain traction, fans came down flocking the comments section. Most of them were, well, as you guessed it, not very pleasant for Davis.
Feeling sorry for Davis, one fan stated how the ex-Celtics had to go to jail on the opening day. The comment read, “Sent bro to jail on NBA opening day. 😭”

Another fan opined that Davis was probably under the influence of some kind of substance. It said, “Bruh high asf 😭”
A third fan commented, “Crazy how ngas can achieve their dreams get rich and still crashout and lose it all 😭”
Yet another fan spoke on the same lines, stating that Davis must have been under the influence while recording the video. The comment read, “Imfao he so fried rn. last one for a bit. he’ll be alite.”

Thus, getting a lot of flak for his latest upload, things are not at all looking great for Glen Davis. Now it remains to be seen whether 40 months of jail time can reform him and turn him back to the NBA superstar he once was.
