The Los Angeles Lakers have found their stride this season, exceeding expectations under new head coach JJ Redick. After a rocky preseason that left fans and analysts skeptical, the Lakers have turned things around, posting a solid 10-5 record through 15 games. The team currently sits in fourth place in the highly competitive Western Conference.
The former NBA sharpshooter with no prior coaching experience faced heavy scrutiny when he was appointed head coach. However, Redick has quickly silenced the doubters with his leadership and preparation.
"JJ is the perfect a**hole. I think he's just what the Lakers need."

Redick’s success has not gone unnoticed by those in the basketball world, including former NBA champion Trevor Ariza. On the “Run It Back” show, Ariza explained that Redick’s preparation and belief in his methods have earned him respect.
“He’s the perfect a**hole. What I mean by that is he’s so confident in what he does because of his preparation or that he had as a player that he’s confident in his ability to get anything done and, as a player, as a teammate. You attract guys who put in the work and are confident,” Ariza said.
JJ Redick Likes Rookie Dalton Knecht’s Efforts To Improve His Play
Like Redick, this season marked the first season for Lakers rookie Dalton Knecht in the league. Meanwhile, the rookie stunned all with his performance against the Utah Jazz. Recently, JJ Redick shared appreciation for Knecht, especially for his determination and efforts to improve on the court.
“I really challenged him to not be a traffic cone, and he’s taken on that challenge. He’s trying; the effort is there. There’s things we can do in the weight room; there’s things we can do in terms of agility. In the long term, I expect him to be a good defender,” Redick said.
