Karl-Anthony Towns is looking like a completely different athlete at the moment. After his return to the team against the New York Knicks, KAT displayed some exquisite form to help his team win the game. Anthony Towns dropped 31 points and 21 rebounds, propelling the Knicks to a 119-103 victory. And remember, they were without their top scorer, Jalen Brunson. While the Knicks’ fans are over the moon having registered their ninth straight victory, a former NBA champion has something to say about Karl-Anthony Towns’ recent performance.
Kendrick Perkins won the NBA back in 2008. Thus, he does know a thing or two about the championship mentality. Fortunately for the Knicks’ fans, the dawn of the New Year has apparently changed KAT’s game. “New York definitely has unlocked a different KAT. He’s been on some other shit since he arrived in the City,” Perkins stated, impressed by his recent play.

In reality, Anthony Towns has been having quite a decent season so far. Despite suffering a few hiccups, his average points per game still reads 24.9. He also enjoys a healthy average of 3.3 assists and 13.7 rebounds per game. Meanwhile, Kendrick Perkins was not the only one heaping praises on Karl-Anthony Towns.
Rapper Fat Joe Calls Karl-Anthony Towns ‘Greatest Offensive Center’
Karl-Anthony Towns has been in some tremendous form for the New York Knicks. Riding on the back of his excellent form, the Knicks are already dreaming of a playoff spot this year. Impressed by the showing, rapper Fat Joe had some words of praise for KAT.
Fat Joe says Karl-Anthony Towns is the greatest offensive center ever, claiming he’s better in that aspect than Hakeem Olajuwon, Shaquille O’Neal, and Nikola Jokić 👀

“I don’t think I’ve seen a better offensive big man in my life than KAT… I’ve sat in the game and watch KAT do ten moves,” said Fat Joe in an episode of ‘7PM in Brooklyn’ with Carmelo Anthony. The rapper also opined that the opposition is often out of ideas about what to expect from KAT. Thus, with things going smoothly at the moment, it remains to be seen how well Anthony Towns and his team can keep up with the winning momentum.
