There’s no doubt 76ers president Daryl Morey will do whatever it takes to win a championship, and after landing James Harden for the second time in his GM career, he can see that happening sooner rather than later.
One player that can truly help is a guy like Bradley Beal. He won’t e playing for the rest of this season due to him having a season-ending injury. When healthy, not many can stop him as he was putting up 23.2 PPG, 4.7 RPG, and 6.6 APG.
On a recent episode of his Rogue Bogues podcast, Andrew Bogut has claimed that Bradley Beal could potentially try “to team up” with James Harden and Joel Embiid in the offseason.
“I’ve heard a pretty big rumor … from some people that are pretty close to the situation in the NBA: Big Three to Philly,” said Bogut, per NBC Sports. “Brad Beal is trying to get to Philadelphia in the offseason to team up with Harden and Embiid.
“Philly’s desperate, obviously, to try to get off [forward Tobias] Harris’ [deal] anyway,” Bogut added. “They have been for a while. And I think they’re even more desperate now to free up that cap space somehow. It’ll most likely have to be a sign-and-trade with Philly. But don’t be surprised if a Big Three forms in Philly. That’s the word on the street.”
A big three of James Harden, Bradley Beal, and Joel Embiid would be insanely unfair and something we haven’t seen since the Golden State Warriors had Curry, Thompson, and Durant.
It remains to be seen if Bradley Beal will end up leaving the Washington Wizards. He has remained loyal to the franchise throughout and has never showed any willingness to leave.
The Sixers have also been linked to Beal in the past, so Bogut’s rumor isn’t entirely out of the blue.
