The Milwaukee Bucks’ struggles to start the 2024-25 season have raised significant concerns, leaving many to wonder if their championship window has already closed. After a promising opening win against the Philadelphia 76ers, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s team has spiraled into a six-game losing streak, leaving them at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings.
Despite having one of the league’s brightest stars in Antetokounmpo, the Bucks’ poor performance has led to growing doubts about their future. Former Miami Heat player and NBA analyst Steve Smith shared his thoughts during an appearance on Run It Back, saying that the team’s situation might require drastic measures.
“I would say Giannis has to force a trade if he’s trying to win a championship,” Smith said.
Interestingly, a source from the Eastern Conference weighed in on Giannis’s potential future with the team. Before the Bucks’ most recent loss, the executive hinted that things could get worse for the team, suggesting it wouldn’t be surprising if Giannis were to be traded if the situation doesn’t improve.
