Former Dallas Mavericks forward Chandler Parsons has lashed out at the team for the way they traded Luka Doncic away following the guard’s blockbuster move to the Los Angeles Lakers.
According to Parsons, Doncic was not happy to find out he was being traded and cried over the development.
The Slovenian is now set to play for the Purple and Gold, with the Lakers sending Anthony Davis the other way.
Parsons, who shared his thoughts on the move on FanDuel’s ‘Run It Back,’ branded it “bad business,” although he admitted the Mavs must know something about Doncic that most people aren’t aware of, given how thoroughly they look into players.
The former NBA player also revealed that Doncic had only just secured the $15 million purchase of a house.
“This dude just bought a $15 million house, just closed it last week in Dallas,” he said. “Apparently, he cried when he found out.”

Doncic expected to be in Dallas for a while and, in a farewell letter to the fans, said he thought he would have ended his career in the city. That he had just bought a house there suggests he really meant that.
The guard is regarded as one of the best players in the NBA at the moment and has quite the CV, having won the Rookie of the Year award after joining the Mavericks. He has also earned five All-NBA nods and has been an All-Star five times, having also helped the team reach the NBA finals last year.
Once thought to be the face of the franchise in Dallas, Luka Doncic is now expected to be the next big thing in L.A., with LeBron James’ career winding down.
