The Los Angeles Clippers have faced a turbulent start to the season, struggling to find their rhythm without their two marquee stars, Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. George, who was a cornerstone for the team in previous seasons, departed for the Philadelphia 76ers during the offseason. Meanwhile, Leonard, sidelined by a knee injury, has yet to suit up for the Clippers in their first 20 games.
This double blow has left the Clippers grappling to maintain their competitive edge. Without George’s dynamic scoring and Leonard’s elite two-way play, the team’s aspirations for dominance in a competitive Western Conference have been severely tested.
Off the court, Leonard’s relationship with basketball seems to have waned. In a recent conversation with his former Clippers teammate Patrick Beverley, Leonard voiced his frustration. Speaking on an episode of The Pat Bev Show, Beverley shared insights from his discussion with Leonard, whom he affectionately calls “The Klaw.” According to Beverley, Leonard candidly criticized the current state of the league.
“The Klaw, that’s what I got him as in my phone. Klaw says, ‘The league stinks right now. Views are low,’” Beverly said.

“‘Views are low. They missing Kawhi.’ I love it. And then I hit him with, ‘Hey man, you know I’m the isolation king over here,” he added.

“This team is packed with talent, and they are going to be formidable come playoff time. I spoke with Kawhi yesterday, and he’s healing up like a beast,” Beverley said.
Leonard injured his knee in the Clippers last season’s playoffs. The Clippers star wrapped up the season averaging 23.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game.
