Chris Paul hinted at a potentially ugly fan incident in a postgame tweet Sunday night. Following Phoenix’s 111-101 Game 4 loss in Dallas earlier today, Paul appeared to indicate that one or more of his family members was involved in a physical altercation with fans at the American Airlines Center.
Video has since been obtained showing him telling security that a fan put hands on his mom.
According to McMenamin, Mavericks fans put hands on Paul’s mother and shoved his wife.
Fans got ejected during the game and Paul could be seen trying to get a word in as they are led out.

The Mavericks put out a statement after the game, and said the fan in question was “swiftly removed” from the game.
“The Dallas Mavericks are aware of an incident between a fan and the family of Chris Paul. It was unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” the team said, via ESPN’s Tim MacMahon. “The Mavericks, along with American Airlines Center, swiftly removed the fan from today’s game.”
Paul fouled out after just 23 minutes in the loss on Sunday, and finished with five points after shooting just 2-of-4 from the field.
Game 5 of the series is set for Tuesday night in Phoenix.
