Sterling Brown was truly lucky to escape with his life when the team traveled to the Miami area before they took on the Heat.
The Houston Rockets small forward suffered facial lacerations and was bloodied badly when he reportedly got jumped by a group of men outside Booby Trap night club.
Footage has now been obtained and showed the aftermath of him talking with cops as blood drips from his face and body. Houston Rockets star Kevin Porter Jr. was by his side having an animated conversation with the cops, but the entire thing was muted.
Brown reportedly entered the wrong van after leaving a strip club and was beaten in a bloody scene that left those close to him fearing for his life, according to The Athletic.
Brown and three or more individuals in the van had a heated exchange that escalated to hitting Brown on the head with a bottle and “leaving blood everywhere.”
“Several attempts were made to gather information from (from Brown) who kept insisting he did not want to provide his information, he only wanted rescue to take him to the hospital.”

Brown required multiple heavy stitching jobs for facial injuries that led to blood dripping all over the floor in his private quarters in the emergency room.
“Heart-wrenching. Rips your heart out,” Houston coach Stephen Silas said before the team took on the Heat. “It’s one of your guys, someone on your team that you care about, someone that you’re with every day. As far as how I’m feeling and how the team is feeling, we’re all just thankful, No. 1, that he’s going to be OK — and also down about what happened.”
Brown, 26, is in his first season in Houston, averaging 8.2 points and 4.4 rebounds in 51 games.
