By now, you’ve heard the terrible news of DeMarcus Cousins going down with an injury and tearing his ACL just months after signing a 1-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.
TMZ Sports has now obtained video that shows the moment the NBA star starts screaming and falling to the court after attempting a routine layup.
Cousins, a four-time All-Star, suffered an Achilles tendon tear while playing for New Orleans during the 2017-18 season, and he missed several weeks with Golden State last season with a quadriceps injury. This is just yet another setback for a guy who was on tap to receiving a max deal before he became injury prone all of a sudden.
Cousins, who has averaged 21.2 points and 10.9 rebounds over his nine NBA seasons, signed a one-year, $3.5 million contract with the Lakers in July. Now, he’s likely to miss the entire 2019-2020 season.
