This is one of a few times in human history where a Florida man did something that everybody approved of.
The Florida man who caught an alligator with a trash can took a shot at Ben Simmons during an interview with Philadelphia’s Eyewitness News.
“I’m not going to be Ben Simmons,” Eugene Bozzi said when asked what was going through his mind at the time. “I’m gonna get me this basket.”
Heres that viral moment:
In a video that has since gone viral, Malik can be seen approaching the reptile with a trash can as his only weapon. As he inches closer to the predator, Malik swings the lid down, which falls and hits the Gator, which made it even more aggressive. It charges Malik, thrashing its way straight into the trash can.

“Let me know when the head goes inside [the bin]!” Malik says to onlookers. “Let me know! Somebody let me know when the head goes inside of the thing!”
When someone yells, “The head is in!” Malik drops the lid onto the gator’s head and turns the bin upright. He became a national sensation when the video went super viral.
As far as Ben Simmons goes, he seems to be dead set on not playing for the Philadelphia 76ers ever again as he continues to stay away from the team as the season draws near. Last week, the Philadelphia 76ers did not pay Ben Simmons the $8.25 million — 25% of his contract — that he was owed and placed that money into an escrow account.
If Simmons doesn’t return to the team before their first preseason game in Toronto against the Raptors, he will be fined roughly $227,000. That is the same number number Simmons will be fined for every game he misses going forward.
