There have been a lot of different superstitions that players have practiced over the years. Some are very normal while some are very unique. Recently, Rajon Rondo revealed his gameplay superstition which is very refreshing.
Rondo has had a great career in the NBA so far, however, he has not been on the court for some time. The last time played he a part of a team was in 2022 and now he has finally decided to hang his boots and call it a day.
Rajon Rondo’s gameday superstition
The former Boston Celtics star Rajon Rondo recently revealed his unique but refreshing gameplay superstition that he used to follow before games. In a recent conversation with Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes on the “All The Smoke” podcast, the four-time NBA All-Star revealed that he used to take long showers before games.
“I always shower with about forty-five minutes on the clock before meetings… I will put on my uniform as the coach is talking. Some coaches liked it, some coaches did not, but for the most part, I was able to pull my veteran move and get it done… I showered on game days about five times,” said Rajon. He revealed that sometimes he used to shower five times on game days to keep himself refreshed.

Rondo announces his retirement
NBA veteran and former Celtics player Rajon Rondo has announced his retirement after playing in the league for almost 16 years. Rondo started his career in the NBA after being drafted as the 21st overall pick by the Phoenix Suns in the 2006 NBA draft. He was traded to the Celtics after that and made his debut with Boston.

He had a great career in the league and earned many honors during his time on the court. Rondo won the NBA championship two times in his career and made it to the NBA All-Stars four times. He was named the NBA steals leader in 2010. The last time he was seen playing in the NBA was in 2022, for the Cleaveland Cavs. Overall he had a great career and will be remembered by the fans for his contribution to the game.
