Nate Silvester lost his career, but has gained a ton of money in the process who agreed with his TikTok video mocking LeBron James over a police shooting.
The mayor of Bellevue, Idaho posted on Facebook Thursday morning that Nate Silvester had been terminated from his job for continued policy violations. This comes just weeks after Silvester was put on probation and given what is called a “last chance agreement” with his superior officers.
Silvester posted a TikTok mocking LeBron James after he tweeted, and later deleted, about the officer who fatally shot Ma’Kahia Bryant in Ohio.
Fans had begun sending him money on GoFundMe and now that number has ballooned to over $537,000.
Included in the GoFundMe account are three videos of Silvester thanking those who donated. In one, Silvester says he wants people to stand up on behalf of law enforcement officers.
“We’re not going to tolerate being attacked or bullied or vilified in the media anymore,” Silvester said.
