Sports fans got a kick out of a hysterical photo with San Antonio Spurs rookie superstar Victor Wembanyama lining up beside Chicago Blackhawks first-year phenom Connor Bedard.
Wembanyama and Bedard were considered generational talents heading into their 2023 draft years. As expected, the Spurs used the first overall pick of the 2023 NBA Draft on “Wemby”, and the Blackhawks took Bedard first over in the NHL Draft.
On Thursday afternoon, the official NHL X/Twitter account posted several images of a meet-and-greet between Wembanyama and Bedard. Fans especially were loving the first photo of the 7-foot-4 Wembanyama and the 5-foot-10 Bedard standing beside each other for a jersey swap:

The 19-year-old Wembanyama is piecing together an excellent rookie year on a woeful Spurs team, averaging 10 points, 11 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game while also shooting 43.1 percent from the field.
Bedard, viewed as the best NHL prospect since Edmonton Oilers superstar Connor McDavid, has also fared well despite lacking much support on a struggling Chicago club. Bedard has 12 goals and 28 points through his first 31 games while averaging 19:35 time on ice per game.
The Spurs are last in the Western Conference with a 4-22 record, having dropped nine of their last 10 games. Chicago enters Friday night’s contest against the Montreal Canadiens with a 10-20-1 record.
