NBA fans destroyed ESPN over a graphic comparing Bronny James and Victor Wembanyama.
There’s not a whole lot going on these days where sports are concerned, at least not as much as when the calendar is teeming. So outlets might be willing to do just about anything for engagement.
Of course, we wouldn’t accuse ESPN of such. They are The Worldwide Leader in Sports, after all. However, one of their recent social media posts could suggest that was the case, depending on who you are.
The post only notes that Bronny and Wemby are listed at the same weight, although one stands at 6ft 2in and the other at 7ft 4in.
“Bronny and Wemby are listed at the same weight despite Wemby being over a foot taller 🤯,” the caption reads.

Fans weren’t feeling it.
“Why is this a post?” one asked.
“this isn’t a newsworthy post😭,” another said.
“Why is this news ? 😭💀,” someone else queried.
“Had to get ’em both in one post I know the admin was bricked,” another comment reads.
“The talent is light years difference, add that in there too!” said another.
“Bro don’t ever compare Bronny to Wemby in any way or form,” one fan remarked.
“Please don’t put them in the same sentence. NOT in any way, shape, form, or fashion,” someone else demanded.
Victor Wembanyama And Bronny James Had Similar Starts
Victor Wembanyama struggled in Summer League, similarly to Bronny James. But he eventually lived up to the hype en route to a Rookie of the Year nod while making the All-Defensive First Team.
Perhaps things will turn out the same way for Bronny, who has shown glimpses of what he’s capable of in his last two appearances.
Still, fans don’t want them mentioned in the same sentence.
