It only took one game for fan bases to start blasting Chris Paul for something he did in the very first game of the NBA Finals.
Paul scored 16 of his 32 points in the third quarter to lead the Phoenix Suns to a 118-105 win over the visiting Milwaukee Bucks in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday. Two-time NBA MVP and Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo returned to the lineup after suffering a hyperextension of his left knee in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals and posted 20 points and 17 rebounds in 35 minutes.
In the second half of the game, Paul got loose on a break with Giannis trailing him looking for a block. The veteran knew exactly what to do as he slowed down and seemingly threw his body into Giannis causing a foul and an and-1 opportunity after he hit the shot.
Fans did not appreciate what Paul did as they accused him of targeting Giannis’ knoee.

Tough crowd.
Paul became only the third player aged 36 or older to have more than 30 points in a Finals game, joining Hall-of-Famers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Tim Duncan. He also became the first player since NBA legend Michael Jordan with over 30 points and 8 assists in their Finals debut.
