In the early morning hours of Monday, LeBron James took to Twitter and answered a question presented by the SEC Network on who would win a hypothetical game between some of the best players from the Tennessee Vols and South Carolina Gamecocks.
“Man WHAT??!!! No disrespect to those lady Gamecocks and their hoopers cause they can ball but THAT Lady Vols team would SMASH damn near any team. Now if you put them vs Lady Huskies (Bird, DT, Maya, B. Stewart, Lobo) now we talking. And yes I know they ain’t in the SEC,” James posted.
A number of Gamecock fans replied to the tweet, but it was former WNBA player and current South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley who garnered the most attention when she hit LeBron with a simple reply.
“k Lebron,” Staley posted.
“As soon as someone says ‘no disrespect’ we all know what’s coming,” USC freshman Brea Beal said.
