Yes, you read that correctly.
A woman is stepping forward 26 years later to tell a story and sue Scottie Pippen for expenses she incurred while allegedly having an affair with him during his tenure with the Chicago Bulls.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Chyvette Valentine claims she dated Pippen from 1987 through 1993 and that she paid her own way to see him while he was a star on the Chicago Bulls.
“As part of their relationship, Valentine claims she would travel to see Pippen when he played outside of Chicago. She claims she racked up a lot of expenses — hotel, car, gas, food, parking, etc — which she claims he promised to reimburse him for.
Valentine is suing for $9,999 (the maximum allowed in small claims court) but claims she is actually owed much more.
The Blast spoke with Valentine who says she was Pippen’s first girlfriend when he moved to Chicago. She claims she did not know he was married when they started dating (or had a newborn baby).
Valentine says she had been suspicious when she saw cases of baby formula in Pippen’s house on one occasion but claims he told her they were for his sister.
She says he finally came clean … while they were having sex on Valentine’s Day of 1988.”
During that time, Pippen was married to his first wife, Karen McCollum, from 1988-1990. He was married to Larsa Pippen for 20 years before she ultimately filed for divorce in 2018.
The couple has four children together: Sophia, Scotty Jr., Justin and Preston.
