DeMar DeRozan is probably the biggest name currently available in free agency. The Bulls forward has a decision on his way in the summer with multiple parties interested in him. But he had no problem deciding to side with Kendrick Lamar as the six-time All-Star linked up with the singer for a music video.
Just a week after joining Kendrick Lamar on the stage of “The Pop Out” concert in LA, DeRozan again featured alongside the rapper. This time in his “Not Like Us” music video. The video has already garnered more than a million views in social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).
DeRozan’s appearance soon attracted social media’s critical assessment as the fans made themselves clear. Here are some comments posted on X:
“Drake must be crying right now,” one fan commented due to Lamar’s feud with the Canadian.
“Crazy after all those years in Toronto,” wrote another, highlighting DeRozan’s ties with the Raptors in the past.

“No one in Toronto is the least bit affected by this lol. We all got over DeMar very very quickly,” added a Raptors fan alluding to the franchise’s NBA championship win after trading DeRozan.
One user wrote, “This was a dope moment.”
“Insane team up,” another mentioned.
“Can the Lakers sign Derozan already to make this even more epic,” some fan even called for DeRozan to sign with the Lakers with all the speculation going around.
While DeRozan is in the mood for the offseason, rumors surrounding his future are coming in restlessly. With the Lakers interested in his services, a move to LA looks on the cards for DeRozan.
Will DeMar DeRozan Join Lakers in Free Agency?
The Lakers need reinforcement fast after missing out on Klay Thompson and Jonas Valanciunas in free agency. With DeRozan being one of the top forwards in free agency, understandably, the gold and purple brigade are leaning toward him.
But others are also interested. The Kings have reportedly discussed a potential sign-and-trade deal with the Bulls. According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, the Kings, the Heat, and the Spurs are taking an interest in DeRozan.
Only the Spurs have significant cap space left among all the interested parties. Hence, in a bidding war, DeRozan will likely reunite with Gregg Popovich in San Antonio.
Despite the Bulls falling short of the playoffs last season, DeRozan kept up his high standards by scoring 24 points per game from 48% field shooting. So if the Lakers intend to get DeRozan on board, time is of the essence with all the other parties interested.
