ESPN is getting slaughtered online over what appears to be an ill-advised decision to post a digital video of Damian Lillard.
Lillard was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in the offseason and has gotten off to a hot start with his new team.
The Worldwide Leader in Sports is now catching some heat for posting a digitally remade video of the point guard being interviewed in his Bucks uniform, only the interview is nearly three years old and took place in the bubble in 2020 while he was still with the Portland Trail Blazers.
The new video also features an ESPN microphone being suspended near the player’s face, though the original interview was conducted by TNT.
Check it out here:
“Wild to see SportsCenter post a video of Dame doing an interview with TNT from the bubble when he was with the Blazers, but edit it to be a Bucks jersey and ESPN mic. A little alarming, honestly,” one fan wrote in response.

Meanwhile, Lillard had a perfect debut for the Bucks as he scored 39 points to help them beat the Philadelphia 76ers 118-117 on Friday night. Clearly, he’s not there to waste time.
