Even with the amount of people who have gotten in trouble for stupid things they have said online, people still continue to put their own jobs at risk to try and either be funny with an off-color comment, or just be downright racist or sexist.
Longtime Chicago area radio host Dan McNeil is feeling the pain this week after his terrible comment that was made about ESPN’s Maria Taylor during Monday night’s Pittsburgh Steelers-New York Giants game.
Taylor was reporting from the sideline during the “Monday Night Football” broadcast, and after she was shown on TV, McNeil sent a tweet indicating her outfit would be more appropriate for an adult film awards show.
The tweet remained up for nearly 30 minutes before he deleted it, but word eventually got around to Taylor and she promptly challenged him to bring his “sexist comments” to the NBA doubleheader she will be hosting on ESPN Tuesday night.
McNeil co-hosts the midday “McNeil & Parkins Show” on 670 The Score in Chicago. Don’t expect him to take on that challenge and likely issue an apology very soon.
