According to ESPN Insider Brian Windhorst, Donovan Mitchell’s exploits for the Cleveland Cavaliers have reportedly prompted numerous clubs to make offers to sign the standout player. The player has been in incredible form throughout the season, averaging 26.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game.
He has improved significantly in the postseason and was quite good before suffering a calf issue. This makes him questionable for Game 5. When Windhorst was on “Get Up ESPN,” he stated the following:
“I’m trying to walk the line, because I don’t want anybody to freak out in my hometown of Cleveland, but there a number of teams that have their offers ready. They’re ready.”
In response to a question, Brian Windhorst stated that the Knicks were now concentrated on their Eastern Conference series. However, the LA Lakers and Brooklyn Nets were among the clubs who had offers ready. One of the Cavaliers’ best talents’ future is still unknown after the season.
Donovan Mitchell Has Emerged as the Hot Target for Many Teams This Season
It’s easy to see why clubs seeking another superstar have made Donovan Mitchell their top target. The player has successfully led his club through the tournament and was a key factor in the Cavaliers’ victory against the formidable Orlando Magic in the first round.
According to the NBA website, Mitchell has stepped up in this series, scoring an average of 30 points a night against the Celtics thus far. He raised his overall effectiveness to 50% and has primarily suffered in the postseason. This is due to a lack of assistance, partly because of the Cavaliers’ ailments.
