Erik Spoelstra’s ex-wife, Nikki Spoelstra, saw the news about her allegedly sending out thirst traps, and she had to respond.
Earlier this month, Nikki Spoelstra took to Instagram and posted three pictures as the Miami Heat were on the brink of elimination in the first round of the playoffs.
The first photo showed her lying down soaking in the sun, revealing her incredible physique. She wore a black skimpy two-piece bikini showing off her washboard abs. The third picture of her carousel showed Nikki Spoelstra sitting up to get a better look at how her bottoms sit up in the bikini bottoms.
Many alleged she was not only trolling the Heat and her ex-husband, but she was sending out thirst traps.
This week, Nikki finally got her chance to respond. She took to her Instagram to post again, but this time with a stern message.
“Knock it off with the ‘thirst trap’ narrative guys, I’m not here for it. I’m 37 years old, and I’ve had THREE babies. I was a dancer my whole life, turned pro, taught dance up until I had those kids,” she wrote on Instagram. “Into fitness and fashion/style IN ADDITION to all the healing things.
“And… if you *really* wanna see me in an alleged’ thirst trap,’ check out the miami heat dancers posters from 2005-2008 and let me know if the trap was, um… Trappin. I have a sneaky suspicion that it was, indeed.”
Nikki posted herself in workout gear, showing her front and back sides and then a short video of a closeup of her body.

Nikki Spoelstra Fired Back At Trolls Over Erik Spoelstra’s Lucrative Contract Extension
Nikki Spoelstra, the ex-wife of Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra, had to fire back at trolls who claimed she dropped the ball for divorcing the two-time NBA champion before his lucrative contract extension.
Spoelstra and the Heat agreed to an eight-year extension, reportedly worth around $120 million, per ESPN.com. The new agreement came after he and Sapp announced they were divorcing.
Social media trolls immediately attacked Sapp, saying, “Way to fumble the bag.” She spoke out against critics on her Instagram Stories.
“Lol. I’m going to address this comment NOT as it pertains to my personal life choices but as it relates to a general thought process that I believe a lot of people have and that a lot of people have harassed me with over the years,” she wrote, according to the New York Post. “According to crass, ignorant, uninformed society at large, women can’t ‘win.’
“Women can’t be genuinely in love with someone successful. No, they’re pretending, and they’re in it for the money. And if a woman chooses to not be with a successful partner, apparently she’s an idiot.”
The couple announced their decision to divorce in a joint statement in November 2023.
