Former NBA star Enes Kanter Freedom — who famously amended his name after becoming a US citizen in 2021 — is trying to make a strong point about women’s sports.
The former Boston Celtics big man took to Twitter and stated that men do not belong in women’s spaces, whether that is locker rooms or sports. He then stated since he is blackballed from the NBA, he should throw on a wig and start dominating the WNBA.
“Men don’t belong in women’s spaces. Restrooms – Locker Rooms or Sports.
Since I’m blackballed from the NBA, should I put on a wig, identify as a woman and start dominating the WNBA?
Is that when the outrage will begin? Is that fair to all the women who spent their whole life chasing their goals?
Where are all the Women Rights Activists and Feminists?!
Whatever he tried to do with his statement fell on deaf ears as people started dunking on him instead:

Freedom has previously appeared before Congress to testify about his claim that he’s been “blacklisted” from the NBA over his pointed criticism of China’s persecution of the Uyghurs and the league’s relationship with the Chinese government.
He also once again called out other NBA players for their silence on China’s human rights violations.
During his final season with the Boston Celtics, Freedom wore custom-made shoes that not only said “Free Tibet” and “Free Uyghurs,” but also called out Nike and the NBA stars he accused of choosing “money over morals.” He specifically took aim at LeBron James when he wore shoes directly ridiculing the NBA star.
Earlier this year, he also revealed the Turkish government placed a bounty worth up to 10 million Turkish lira, or $500,000, for his capture. He was also placed on Turkey’s most-wanted terrorists list because he was vocal about human rights abuses in his parents’ home country and Erdogan’s leadership, referring to the Turkish president as the ‘Hitler of our century.’
Kanter can never go back home to where his family is because he will be arrested and possibly killed by the government.
The safer bet is for him to play in the WNBA where he would be could be killed by the ladies with their talent.
