Dwyane Wade might be retired from the NBA, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to stop trying to make the Miami Heat great again.
The retired former all-star played a huge role in getting Jimmy Butler to come to the South Beach, and it seems he has his sights set on an even bigger fish.
Wade recently took to Twitter and liked a tweet from a fan that claims he’s recruiting Anthony Davis to the Heat.
Davis was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, but he is only under contract for the 2019-2020 season. He made sure to keep the window open to do what he wants without backlash when he refused to commit long-term to the team when asked about it during his introductory press conference.
If Wade somehow pulls this off and snatches Davis away from the hands of the Lakers and LeBron — he should immediately be put in the front office for the foreseeable future.
