Last month, Paul Pierce set social media ablaze when he boldly claimed that he was a better player than Dwyane Wade.
“That’s easy, I can say that off the bat, that’s me,” Pierce said. “I’m 24 or 25 and you give me [LeBron James] and [Chris Bosh], I’d be sitting on five or six championships easy.”
Social media ripped him apart. Miami Heat fans as well as other fan bases chanted “Paul Pierce Sucks” because of his comments, and that included Brooklyn Nets fans during Wade’s final game in the NBA.
Wade never spoke out about it. Until now….
TMZ Sports recently caught up with the future hall of famer and asked him about those comments, and Wade couldn’t have gave a better answer.

“I’m a high road kind of person I won’t put another black man down,” Wade said diplomatically. “He’s an amazing player. I have a lot of respect for him. I’m gonna clap when he goes in the Hall of Fame.”
