Though Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem have retired from the NBA, their memories of intense rivalry battles, especially against former Boston Celtics stars Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, remain vivid. The rivalry between the Heat and Celtics was one of the most passionate and physical in NBA history, with both sides pushing each other to their limits.
The two former Miami Heat stars recently opened up about those heated days on The OGs Show. Interestingly, Wade shared his eagerness to fight against Pierce and Garnett again.
“We’d have been in those battles with Boston, with KG and Paul Pierce in them. Then is this and his chest bumping. People think you’re going to fight. I want to fight! I wanna almost fight. I ain’t did that in a long time,” Wade said.
Like Wade, Haslem is also missing those intense rivalries on the court. The former Heat star also shared his intention to have an intense fight with the Celtics duo. “I just wanna fight for real! That’s the problem, I still want to fight,” Haslem said.
Dwyane Wade Opens Up About How LeBron James And Chris Bosh Joined Forces In Miami
LeBron James and Dwyane Wade’s partnership with the Miami Heat is one of the most iconic in the history of NBA. However, Wade recently revealed that the formation of their superstar trio with Chris Bosh didn’t happen overnight; rather, it was the result of several important “conversations.”
“You know how it happened, man? Conversations. I give credit to LeBron. He was at a period in his career where he wanted to see something different for himself. We were all in seven years of our careers at that time, so we all had done some amazing individual things,” Wade said on The OGs show.

The trio’s partnership led to two NBA championships. After his time with the Heat, Wade, who recently received an honor from the Heat, retired in 2019 after brief stints with the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers. LeBron, meanwhile, left Miami in 2014 to join the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Bosh left the team in 2017.
