Dwight Howard had a notable career in the NBA before transitioning to the T1 League in Taiwan, during which he accomplished numerous significant milestones. Nevertheless, aspects of his personal life did not unfold as favorably.
Howard’s ex-girlfriend, Royce Reed, recently appeared on the Funky Friday Podcast. During her conversation with Cam Newton, Reed finally opened up about secrets concerning Dwight Howard’s personal life. She accused Howard of requiring her to sign a document that prevented her from discussing their relationship on the VH1 show “Basketball Wives.”
“When I was doing the show, we were initially on it together. I pitched it to all these stations, and it got picked up. And then, we broke up. He cheated on me. He had all these attorneys write up all these things. Like, ‘We just want wanna make sure, if she’s still gonna do the show, that she’s not gonna talk trash about him. It says, I could not speak his name, show my child’s photo, say my child’s name (and) be around anyone that knew him.” Reed said.
Reed detailed that Howard’s lawyer approached her with a request to sign a specific document. She explained that this document was an injunction, which outlined particular requests and terms set forth by Howard.

In 2010, Howard won a defamation lawsuit against Reed, the mother of his son Braylon, after a Florida judge ruled that she violated a court order by discussing him publicly. Howard initially sought $500 million in damages, claiming that Reed defamed him on social media and in the reality show “Basketball Wives.”
According to their paternity agreement, Reed faced a $500 fine for each public mention of Howard. Recently, she expressed her viewpoint regarding the incident during her appearance on the Funky Friday Podcast, offering insights into her side of the story.

“When someone has so much power over you, and you become like the ant fighting the elephant. Whatever you try and say, they just stomp on you over and over again. My goal is for them to have a safe space to get their story out.” Reed said.
Howard had a remarkable career in the NBA. He won the NBA championship during the 2019-20 season. Additionally, he is an eight-time NBA All-Star and a three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year. Although Howard has shown interest in rejoining the NBA multiple times, no such action has taken place yet.
