Memphis Grizzlies guard Grayson Allen found himself doing something controversial yet again after he was thrown out of a Summer League game for taking a swing at the head of his opponent.
He was booed off the floor and chastized by the broadcasting crew.
Matt Giles, a clearly blind Duke fan, decided to take his anger to the next level, not to drop the bomb on Grayson Allen, but to defend him against ESPN.
“By attempting to influence a game from press row Thursday night while unnecessarily disparaging both an innocent player and the entire Duke basketball staff, ESPN proved unfit to broadcast basketball.
When defecating foul takes concerning the latest foul from Duke basketball treasure and current Memphis Grizzlies guard Grayson Allen, ESPN announcers are consistently biased, off-base, and as out of line as unsupervised kindergartners waiting at the water fountain.Fueling a false narrative every time.
Most times, these announcers push the foolishness further by branding the all-time winningest college basketball coach as morally inferior to themselves.”
ESPN broadcaster Dan Dakich did not mince any words when speaking about Allen:

“Duke defended him ad nauseam, enabled him. Now it just continues,” Dakich said. “Truthfully it’s just exhausting. If he were this tough, grind-it-out, fighting guy, you’d say, alright. But he just stays around the perimeter avoids contact and then does stuff like that.”
“It’s everybody else’s fault. It’s never poor Grayson’s.”
