Draymond Green is enjoying his time in the Warriors’ offseason doing what he enjoys the most in his podcast, analyzing the different aspects of the NBA, but this time on the sets of TNT’s “Inside The NBA”. The Warriors veteran was invited to join the crew during the Western Conference Finals series to share his insights with the viewers. However, his takes on Minnesota Timberwolves’ Rudy Gobert, his on-court rival have brought a lot of heat.
After an outstanding regular season when Rudy Gobert pushed the Wolves to the playoffs, he couldn’t showcase his elite level of play there, especially in the series against the Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks. The French center received enough criticism for it, but some unnecessary ones came from Draymond.
Besides Gobert, the 34-year-old also criticized Wolves star Karl-Anthony Towns, which didn’t go well with the team. As per The Athletic’s report, the franchise members decided that none of the Wolves players would appear on the program following their Game 4 win against the Mavs to show support for their two players.
Draymond’s controversial views changed the whole scenario. Besides the T’Wolves team and its fans, others objected to his presence as well.
Draymond Green Criticized Over His Role on TNT Show
The Ringer’s Ryen Russillo is furious about the negative treatment that Rudy Gobert received even after being the DPOY four times. The host indicated that there are many who don’t want the Wolves center to succeed and throw remarks at him due to personal animosity, one of them being Draymond Green.
After discussing the uncertain future of “Inside the NBA” crew if TNT loses its NBA rights, Russillo said, “Back to the original point: I can’t believe they’re putting Draymond on the broadcast during this time.” Then he continued to add, “He fks it up. He doesn’t understand the difference between being funny and critical and just being fking mean.”
