During the Dallas Mavericks’ 98-89 victory over the Phoenix Suns at the Footprint Center, Jusuf Nurkic and Naji Marshall found themselves in a heated confrontation. After several exchanges, Nurkic and Marshall began throwing punches, which led to the involvement of multiple players. As a result, several players were ejected from the game. Recently, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green shared his thoughts on this incident.
In a recent episode of the Draymond Green Show, Green criticized Suns player Nurkic for hitting Marshall in the face during a heated exchange. Green expressed his confusion about why Nurkic would choose to act in that manner.
“I did not quite understand, he just out of nowhere picked an argument and then swung. And I hope that brother got the help he needs. Man, it was just out of nowhere like something’s wrong in life to just go back and swing like that. But then to get pushed on the ground, grabbing his face, I was really shocked,” Green said.

Green threw shade at Nurkic due to their ongoing feud. The conflict began during a game between the Warriors and Suns on December 12, 2023, when Green hit Nurkic. Although Green apologized afterwards, Nurkic responded by saying, “I feel like that brother needed help.”
Steve Kerr Updates On Draymond Green And Stephen Curry’s Health
Green was unavailable for the Warriors’ game against the Pacers on Friday due to a back injury. He is experiencing an issue with the left L5-S1 disc in his back. Additionally, star player Stephen Curry was also sidelined for that game because of soreness in his left knee. In a recent interview, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr discussed the conditions of both Green and Curry.
“Draymond’s back has been tight. Steph still has fluid in his knee. When they’re injured, we have to be careful or they’re going to miss a month or two and there goes our season. It’s the reality when players get older,” Kerr said.
