Golden State Warriors Forward Draymond Green has always been someone who is not shy to speak his mind, and he was at it again at a press conference before Game 6 of the Finals.
Green was asked to compare preparing for a game against the Celtics as opposed to going up against LeBron James and according to Draymond, there is no comparison.
“It doesn’t compare, he is arguably the smartest guy to set foot on a basketball court. To say that it compares to that, it’s disrespectful to LeBron and it’s a lie to you.” Shots Fired!
Green and his Warriors went up against LeBron and his Cavs for four consecutive finals last decade, winning three of those matchups. So he definitely has a lot of experience against James in high leverage situations.
Although Draymond is just being honest here, he definitely has provided the Celtics with some bulletin board material ahead of their game six matchup. It’s a game that Boston must win to extend the series to a seventh game.
Green has had an inconsistent series so far, but if he and the Warriors can pull off the victory tonight, it would be their fourth NBA Championship in eight years — cementing their Dynasty status, if they hadn’t already.
