The Golden State Warriors have made an impressive start to the 2024-25 NBA season. Despite the injury to star player Stephen Curry, the team has continued to perform well. Following their recent victory against the Washington Wizards, with a score of 125-112, the Warriors now boast a 6-1 record. After the game, Warriors forward Draymond Green entertained reporters with his hilarious take on Wizards rookie Kyshawn George.
During the post-game press conference, Wizards reporter Bijan Todd asked Green the young players in the Wizards. In that interview, the Warriors forward recounted a humorous exchange he had with George.
Kyshawn told Draymond, “You can’t shoot.”
Green: “When you were in elementary school, you were watching me win a championship and people were thinking that same thing.”
Kyshawn: “Yeah, I don’t care.”
Green is often recognized for his intense demeanor while playing basketball, which was notably highlighted by the incident in which he punched Jordan Poole during a practice before the 2022-23 season. During the recent game, the Warriors forward and Poole reignited their tension with playful taunts.

Green Praised George For Stellar Game Performance
Green scored 18 points, recorded five assists, and grabbed eight rebounds, while George contributed 20 points, four assists, and six rebounds. In addition to his funny exchange with George, Green expressed support for him.
During an interview with Wizards reporter Todd, Green was asked about his thoughts on the Wizards’ young core in the midst of an intense game. The four-time NBA champion responded impressively, crediting Kyshawn for his remarkable efforts.
“That’s the first time we’ve seen a Washington Wizards team play that hard in years, and it’s because of [Bub and Kyshawn’s] energy,” Green said.
With Curry back on the court, it will be exciting to see the dominant duo of Green and Curry in action during the upcoming games.
