Draymond Green is not looking to slow down following his heated game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Coming up with an “unconventional” and “weird” offensive game, the Warriors had to break quite a lot of sweat in order to register a victory. But despite their hard-earned victory, everything did not turn out all calm and peaceful. Throughout the game, heated tempers flared between both sides.
Things took a rough turn when the referee booked Draymond Green for a foul on Grizzlies’ Zach Edey. While the Warriors were fuming, as it turned out, the Grizzlies’ camp had their tales to narrate as well. Coach Jenkins Taylor lashed out at the referee and accused Green of purposefully trying to take Edey down. In fact, Jenkins also took a dig at the NBA. “So I know there’s a code in this league, and I don’t understand how that wasn’t reviewed. Very disappointing,” Jenkins said.
Well, all these back and forth did not seem to sit well with the four time NBA champion. Taking to his Instagram, Green decided to shun Jenkins with a strong one word reply. “Shut up!”, said the 34-year-old.
Not only Jenkins, Green’s words can also be seen as a response to Zach Edey as he said, “It definitely wasn’t a basketball play.” Now, while the Grizzlies are complaining now, it was the Warriors who almost ran out of their patience on game day.
Steve Kerr And Draymond Green Enraged By The Refereeing
After getting called for a foul, Kerr substituted Green in order to prevent an ejection. But the 34-year-old did not stop as he constantly hurled mouthfuls towards the referees. Booked for the second time for misconduct, Green was eventually given the marching orders. This decision only added to the frustration of the Warriors. HC Steve Kerr, who was already angry at the referee for giving the small fouls in the Grizzlies’ favor, lost his cool.

Kerr was seen charging at the referees until Gary Payton II and Moses Moody had to hold him back. Later on, Kerr sounded frustrated while addressing the media. “It was just kind of disgusting, that last quarter and a half. I felt bad for our fans having to watch just what transpired… I’m thrilled with the win. Love the way our guys competed. Just too bad the game had to devolve into a parade to the free throw line,” Kerr said. Thus, with the fire still burning, it remains to be seen how things pan out in the future.
