Draymond Green had a lot of people predicting good things about him. After all, Green won multiple championships with the Golden State Warriors. His defensive prowess also earned him the Defensive Player of the Year award in 2017. Unfortunately, when it is time for Green to put on the predicting hat, he seems to be quite critical of his job. Green recently gave his two cents on the upcoming clash between the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics.
Sadly, there was some bad news for the Knicks. According to the Warriors’ legend, it would be tough for the New York side to get the better of the Celtics. Drawing in a comparison between Karl Anthony-Towns and Al Horford, the 34-year-old said, “They [Knicks] don’t have a chance of beating the Celtics…Al Horford is going to give KAT some trouble. Although Jrue Holiday I bet you could guard KAT in the post…I like the Knicks, I just don’t think they can compete with the Boston Celtics, I just don’t think so.”
Well, Green might just have a point here. Led by Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown, the Celtics have already proven their worth this season. Clashing against the Knicks early on in the season, the Celtics obliterated the competition 132-109. Tatum and co. even tied the record for shooting the maximum number of three-pointers in a regular season game.
Moreover, Green’s prediction with KAT also somewhat came true. Anthony-Towns struggled for the entirety of his outing against the Celtics. He managed to garner just 12 points with just 3 assists to his name. Now, the Knicks would need to figure a way out in order to prove Draymond Green wrong. But this is not the only prediction he made for the ongoing season.
Draymond Green Hopes For A Golden State Warriors Miracle
Draymond Green wants to lock in his 5th NBA title with the Warriors. In a recent interaction on ‘The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis, Green hinted at a golden run from the Warriors. Riding on the back of a solid preseason camp under Steve Kerr, Green and his team are reportedly feeling confident.
Doubling down on their chances this year, the veteran athlete said, “So, I think we did a great job of setting the tone, and we could not have asked for a better training camp, a better preseason than we had… I’m not saying we’re gonna go win a championship, but I am saying don’t let us win another f**king championship.”

And surely, the Warriors did start off their season in an impressive manner. In the first two games, the Warriors walked away with a couple of victories over the Portland Trailblazers and the Utah Jazz. However, their winning run suffered a setback. James Harden led the LA Clippers capitalized and made the Warriors taste their first defeat of the season. Despite the loss, Steph Curry and co. must not lose hope. They can very well turn the tides and make Draymond Green’s wish come true.
