Draymond Green is paying the price for his latest on-court antics. The NBA has suspended Green for five games for putting a chokehold on Rudy Gobert when it was clear that the Minnesota Timberwolves star center was trying to break up a fight between his teammate and Klay Thompson.
Green, who corralled Minnesota center Rudy Gobert and put him into a chokehold after a scuffle broke out between Klay Thompson and Jaden McDaniels, was the only player suspended in the incident.
Gobert, Thompson, and McDaniels were each fined $25,000 since no actual punches were thrown.
The NBA said in its statement that Green’s history played a role in the size of the suspension he’s receiving.
Speaking of his history, some genius on social media created a highlight or possibly a lowlight video of Green’s NBA plays but they only showed his dirty plays.
