The basketball world has been closely following the Drake-Kendrick Lamar beef. Now, it is taking notes on what unfolds for LeBron James. After siding with Drake on earlier occasions, the Los Angeles Lakers star is now at the ‘God’s Plan’ singer’s crosshair.
It was only last season when the majority of the NBA superstars were on Lamar’s side when his ‘Not Like Us’ song took over the internet. Be it LeBron, Russell Westbrook, or DeMar DeRozan, most of them were at his shows. Drake has recently sparked controversy by accusing LeBron James of cheating on his wife, Savannah James.
This statement came during a now-deleted Instagram exchange shared by Chris Blake Griffith. In the exchange, Drake compared his legal battle against Universal Music Group (UMG) to a hypothetical scenario. He suggested it would be like Nike sponsoring a campaign focused on LeBron cheating on Savannah.
“Me and Universal is like if Nike was funding a campaign about Lebron cheating on his wife. Not Adidas or Reebok… Nike the company he been with since he started. My situation is not no street s***,” Drake wrote in his private text.

If it is hard to comprehend, Drake was directly taking shots at UMG for betraying him even after a long loyal history together. And he took Nike covering up LeBron cheating his wife as a metaphor for being cheated on.

Despite his past friendship with Drake, he has shown support for Kendrick and even attended one of his concerts. While the beef is still far from over as legal implications complicate it, Bron won’t mind dropping a few more bars of the songs he remembers.
