Donald Trump has said a ton of things over the past few years that have left people scratching their heads, but these latest comments may take the cake.
The former President spoke before a rally of his supporters in Arizona and not only mentioned he had won last November’s presidential election, he also speculated that LeBron James might get sex reassignment surgery to compete in women’s sports.
“Somebody said that if LeBron James ever decided to get the operation, how would he be on the court? How would he be?” he mused.
“LeBron James, you can have him,” Trump continued before further mocking the basketball player. “Did you see the basketball ratings that were terrible? They went up after his team was defeated.”
He also joked that, as the coach of a women’s sports team, he would only recruit transgender athletes. “If I were a coach, I wouldn’t be talking to too many women as we know women,” he said. “I’d be getting some of these people that … they’re ‘women.'”
He asked the crowd what they thought of “men” being “allowed to compete in women’s sports” before alluding to Hubbard.

“Did you see the weightlifter?” Trump asked. “I hate to tell you this, women, but [she] shattered your long-standing record.”
Trump then claimed it was “so unfair” that Laurel Hubbard is allowed to compete.
Laurel Hubbard is set to become one of the first trans athletes to compete at the Olympics, following Canadian soccer player Quinn, who made her Tokyo debut last week.
As for as LeBron goes, Trump once called him “racist” and “divisive” after the Los Angeles Lakers star tweeted a response to the police killing of Ohio teenager Ma’Khia Bryant in April.
The two have a long history of beef that won’t die down for sometime.
