This offseason, Dillon Brooks moved on from the Memphis Grizzlies. He signed a reported four-year, $80 million deal with the Houston Rockets in July.
Tonight was his first game with the team, albeit just a preseason game.
He only lasted a few minutes.
With barely five minutes through the game against the Indiana Pacers, the Rockets guard hit Pacers big man Daniel Theis below the belt. He was upset about it and the refs went to review it.
After a lengthy review, they decided to give him a flagrant two-foul and eject him from the game.
The 6-foot-7 swingman averaged 14.3 points, 3.3 rebounds 2.6 assists per game last season for the Grizzlies. He is known as a defensive-minded player and was named to the 2022-23 All-Defensive second team.

Aside from his defense, Brooks may have also been known for the antagonist role he took on against opponents like LeBron James last year in the playoffs. It did not work out well for him.
