The Phoenix Suns wrapped up last season with a 49-33 record, securing the third spot in the Western Conference. Despite their strong performance, their championship aspirations were cut short. Now, the team is focusing on a significant plan involving their three superstars, Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal.
Suns owner Mat Ishbia recently spoke at the NBA 2K24 Summer League, sharing the team’s mindset for the trio.
“We love Kevin Durant, we love Devin Booker [and Bradley Beal]. We didn’t put our team together for a one-year try. First year, didn’t get to where we want to be. Second year, we’re going to see,” Ishbia said.
The trio had an eye-catching season to propel the Suns to the playoffs before being swept by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Kevin Durant averaged 27.1 points and 6.6 rebounds; Devin Booker matched Durant’s 27.1 points and added 4.5 rebounds; and Bradley Beal contributed 18.2 points per game last season.
