During a recent episode of Podcast P with Paul George, the host Paul George praised Memphis Grizzlies forward GG Jackson after his stellar rookie season. George claimed that Jackson is a complete player with all the skills to rebound, defend, and score. He also went a notch up in his praise and compared him with the late legend Kobe Bryant.
“I think he’s just kind of complete… I think he goes in that same category as a big wing who can score it at a high level; he can rebound, he defends, and he’s super athletic… He doesn’t get talked about enough in the conversations of the youngest guys to do it… I’m not putting him in that category… but you know, for his ceiling in this first year, I mean, he outperformed Kobe Bryant at that age.” George said.
“He’s a ton of talent”
He further complimented Jackson and stated that Jackson should get more recognition than what he is getting now. He mentioned that Jackson has more talent in his age group than any other player.
“I don’t know why this player hasn’t had more recognition around the league for his age and what he’s done with this group, but I think he’s a ton of talent,” George added.
Alex Sarr was a recent guest on Paul George’s “Podcast P.” When Sarr inquired about his height, he disclosed that at 14, he was around 6’8″. With his current height of 7’1″, PG13 was astounded by the NBA prospect’s immense proportions.
Despite playing in only six games in his first three months of the season, GG Jackson scored 699 points, ranking seventh among rookie scorers. His outstanding performance with the Memphis Grizzlies has brought him into the spotlight. Jackson would be looking to continue from his strong rookie season.
