This offseason is slated to be one of the biggest in NBA history and Klay Thompson is one of those players that any team will want.
All season long, the free agency discussion surrounding the Golden State Warriors has firmly been about what Kevin Durant may do this summer.
However, Klay Thompson is due for a big pay raise and he is likely set to get it from the Golden State Warriors…or so we think.
On Instagram, Klay posted a picture of Oracle Arena and captioned it, “Sitting up here soaking it all in. I’m gonna miss Oracle. But what I’ll miss most is that Oakland love cuz there’s nothin like it!!”
One would assume that he is talking about the move to another stadium, but many folks in the comments surely took it as he was leaving after the season.
It’s hard to imagine the Warriors not giving Thompson the max unless he’s willing to take a hometown discount, which is extremely unlikely. Winning multiple titles is one thing, but setting yourself up and family for decades is much better.
