Derrick Rose’s son has surfaced again since that famous photo of him sitting on his dad’s lap during a Chicago Bulls press conference in 2015.
Well, several years have gone by since that photo and it appears a much older PJ is following in his dad’s footsteps.
Ballislife has shared some footage of PJ playing basketball at a youth game with Derrick watching on from the sidelines. And, rather unsurprisingly, the kid can ball.
While it isn’t always automatic – Michael Jordan’s kids are perfect examples – fans always expect the children of NBA stars to be just as good as they were. So his apparent skill isn’t what had users waxing lyrical, it was more over the fact that the little kid who accompanied his dad to that press conference has really shot up.
They also pointed out how much he plays like his dad in terms of his calm demeanor. Rose, a former league MVP, was one of the best guards in the NBA before injuries derailed his career yet he was everything but flashy and just got the job done with hardly a hint of emotion.

What could have been where Derrick Rose is concerned is a common theme among NBA fans, so perhaps we’ll get to see his son play in the pros one day. It seems like yesterday he was just a toddler sitting on his dad, so PJ should be draft-eligible by the next time we see him again.
