Sports should never be serious, but there just some fans that treat it more than what it is.
A Pontiac, Michigan man is counting his blessings today after a sports argument on Wednesday night led to him being stabbed during Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
What’s even more disturbing is that authorities are still searching for the suspect.
Via WXYZ Detroit:
“According to police, deputies were dispatched to the home on Ferry St. on the report of a stabbing, but they found the victim had been transported by a family member to the hospital already.
Witnesses and the victim said that he and the suspect, a 31-year-old Pontiac man, were arguing about the NBA Finals game and started getting into a fist fight. After the fight, the suspect got a knife from the bedroom and continued the fight.
Deputies say the suspect swung the knife at the victim, causing deep lacerations on his face and forearm, and then took off.”
A sheriff’s tracking dog was used to try to locate the suspect, but the person proved to be elusive and wasn’t immediately found.
“Detectives are continuing their investigation and the case is ongoing,” the sheriff’s office stated at 9:40 a.m. “Suspect is still at large as of this morning.”
