However, the Nuggets pulled away with their third-quarter surge and maintained their dominance in the fourth quarter.
The Nuggets now hold a 32-19 record, placing them fourth in the highly competitive Western Conference. On the other hand, the Pelicans continue to struggle, falling to a 12-39 record, which leaves them at the bottom of the conference standings.

Nikola Jokic was once again the focal point of the team’s success. Jokic recorded 38 points, 10 assists, eight rebounds, one steal, and one block. He was efficient from the field, shooting 10-of-15 on two-point attempts and 5-of-13 from beyond the arc.

Jokic also made all three of his free throws. This performance marked Jokic’s 33rd double-double of the season and his 25th game with at least 35 points and 10 assists. It’s the most by a center in NBA history.
Michael Porter Jr. also had a standout game, scoring 39 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Like Jokic, Porter Jr. made five three-pointers, making them the first teammates in NBA history to each record 5+ made threes and a 35-point double-double in the same game.
The Nuggets’ supporting cast also played a significant role in the victory. Aaron Gordon contributed seven points, four rebounds, and 12 assists. Jamal Murray added 10 points and six assists, while Christian Braun chipped in with 23 points and nine rebounds. Julian Strawther rounded out the scoring with 10 points in 24 minutes of play.

Despite the loss, the Pelicans had some bright spots. Zion Williamson led the team with 28 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Trey Murphy III added 25 points and nine assists, while CJ McCollum scored 19 points.
