A late-game surge saw the Nuggets outscore the Warriors by 15 points in the final six minutes. Despite the loss, Steve Kerr’s side managed to finish the NBA Cup group stage as West Group C toppers.
The win improves Denver’s record to 11-8, placing them eighth in the Western Conference standings. Meanwhile, the Warriors suffered their fifth consecutive loss, dropping to 12-8 and falling to sixth in the Western Conference.
This game also extended the Warriors’ losing streak against the Nuggets to eight games. Golden State’s last win came against the New Orleans Pelicans on November 23, where they managed a narrow 112-108 victory.

Jokic wasn’t the only Nugget to step up. Aaron Gordon contributed 15 points, nine rebounds, and five assists, while Michael Porter Jr. added 22 points and 7 rebounds. Jamal Murray played a vital role with 12 points and 7 assists, and Christian Braun added 11 points and 6 assists in the win.
The Warriors, despite their best efforts, couldn’t hold off the Nuggets’ late push. Nevertheless, Stephen Curry once again showcased why he’s the heart and soul of the Warriors, finishing with 24 points, 11 assists, and seven rebounds.

Jonathan Kuminga led the team in scoring with 19 points and added five rebounds in his 29 minutes on the floor. Andrew Wiggins chipped in with 13 points, three rebounds, and four assists. Kevon Looney grabbed 11 rebounds while also tallying five points and five assists, while Brandin Podziemski and Moses Moody each added 13 points off the bench.
The Denver Nuggets will play the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, while the Warriors are set to visit Houston to take on the Rockets in the NBA Cup Quarterfinals on the same day.
