Recently, the NBA community has been surprised by two trades that significantly altered team dynamics. Notably, on February 6, a major five-team transaction took place, resulting in Jimmy Butler joining the Golden State Warriors. As part of this complex deal, the Warriors also sent their point guard, Dennis Schroder, to the Detroit Pistons.
Following Schroder’s departure, the Warriors posted a farewell message for Schroder, Lindy Waters III, and Kyle Anderson, whom they traded to acquire Butler. The Warriors included a photo of Schroder in their Instagram post along with a thank-you note. In the caption, they wrote, “Thank you, Kyle, Dennis, and Lindy. Wishing you all the best in your next chapter.”
NBA teams typically write appreciation notes recognizing players’ contributions after they leave the team. However, the Warriors’ farewell post did not resonate well with Dennis Schroder, who found it disrespectful. In the comment section of the post, he expressed his feelings by writing, “wasn’t even worth my own post huh? thx too tho.”

In a recent interview, Schroder voiced his dissatisfaction with the NBA trade deadlines, stating that trades in the league are modern slavery. However, shortly after his comments, the Warriors traded him to the Pistons.
Dennis Schroder Shares Thoughts On Shocking Luka Doncic-Anthony Davis Trade
Last Saturday, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks surprised the entire NBA community with a blockbuster trade. The Mavericks traded Luka Doncic to acquire Anthony Davis. In an exclusive interview with NBC Sports Bay Area, Dennis Schroder shared his thoughts on the Doncic-Davis trade.
“Luka Dončić just got traded and got five f–—g NBA First Teams, All-Stars. He brought money to them, NBA Finals last year, and $117 million he can’t sign now because he got traded, and that’s no state income tax. From now on, I see it even more crazier than it was, because to trade somebody like that, nobody’s safe,” Schroder said.
