Dennis Rodman has a perfectly good explanation as to why peopel thought he was stealing merchandise from an high-profiled store in Cali.
Earlier this week, an upscale yoga studio in Newport Beach, California accused the NBA legend purposely distracting employees while his accomplices stole more than $500 worth of clothing from the store. Not only that, they also destroyed a $2,500 crystal art piece when it was dropped to the ground.
TMZ Sports caught up with the Bulls legend and they same crew to ask him about it, and he possibly had the dumbest reason imaginable as to why it may have looked like they were stealing.
“We didn’t steal sh*t!!!”
But, Dennis claims it’s all a giant misunderstanding — insisting the staffers at the shop told the group they could take “a couple of gifts” in exchange for helping to move the giant crystal art piece … which is why they grabbed the items.
Rodman never explains why his female companion tried to shield herself from view while stuffing shirts into her purse at the store … or why the staff needed help moving the crystal in the first place.
“I tried to help … as the good person I am,” Rodman said.
When asked why the store owners filed a police report, Rodman and his crew insisted the yoga place was just looking for “exposure.”
Rodman seemed to have no worries about possibly triggering a violation from a 2018 DUI arrest that currently has him on probation.
