Unlike in year’s past, the Golden State Warriors are more than just wounded as they try for yet another NBA championship.
Kevin Durant had been out since Game 5 of the Western Conference Semi-finals — DeMarcus Cousins had just returned for Game 1 of the NBA Finals after being out since Round 1, and last night during Game 2, they took another hit. Klay Thompson found himself leaving in the 4th quarter after an apparent leg injury that forced him to not be able to return with his status for Game 3 not up in the air.
Following the victory over the Toronto Raptors — Cousins took to socialm edia and shared a light-hearted photo of injured Warriors players in wheelchairs.
This is how bad it’s gotten for the Warriors.
The wheelchairs are more of a precaution than anything. Don’t wanna take any chances of tweaking something doing something that will have another Warriors player out with injury.
